About the Artist
From the vibrant music scene of Denton, Texas, The Waylanders emerge as a dynamic duo marrying rock-and-roll grit with honky-tonk flair. Dani drives the rhythm on drums and backing vocals, while Joey handles guitar, harmonica, and lead vocals. Together, they channel the renegade spirit of Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson through a sound rooted in 1970s country, blues, and bluegrass harmony.
Their modest two-piece setup carries an unexpectedly full presence. The Waylanders have built a distinctly nostalgic style and a high-energy live show that feels familiar without sounding stuck in the past.
In April 2024, the duo released its self-recorded debut album, Limerence. The record captures the raw chemistry and spirited performances at the center of their sound, inviting listeners into a modern Americana world shaped by grit, heart, and a deep respect for country tradition.
